Lib Dems are runners up to the Tories in all three contests; Labour trail in 4th.

Lib Dem candidates Phil Bristow, Roland Cundy and Jim May expressed their gratitude last evening for support received in Wokingham Without, Finchampstead North and South respectively in yesterday's local elections held for Wokingham District Council.

Lee Glendon, Chair of the Local Party, commented: "We've shown again that the Lib Dems are the only credible alternative to the Tories in our area and we will continue to work hard all year round to earn the support of local people in future elections. Nationally we scored 27% of the vote - above Labour - with some spectacular gains from Tories and Labour alike."
