Councillor Sophie Forster

Sophie Forster represents the Swinley Forest ward on Bracknell Forest Council, alongside fellow Liberal Democrat Councillor Patrick Smith. She also represents Central Sandhurst on Sandhurst Town Council.

Sophie is a Veterinary Surgeon working in the animal health pharmaceutical industry. She has lived in Sandhurst with her family since 2012 and joined the Liberal Democrats in 2016.

Sophie is passionate about the intersection of animal and human health, both in terms of the importance of pet companionship and food security. She believes this can best be achieved through closer international relationships and harmonisation to ensure welfare standards are maintained.

She is also focused on tackling poverty and believes that no-one in 21st century Britain should be worrying about having a roof over their head, where their next meal will come from, or whether they can afford it.
